Industrial and manufacturing sales is the core of what Sales Recruit UK does, and Scotland’s manufacturing base is where a lot of it happens. We recruit salespeople for businesses selling capital equipment, process plant, components, consumables and industrial services into other businesses — the kind of considered, technical, often long-cycle sale where the salesperson has to understand the customer’s operation as well as their own product.
The Central Belt is the heart of this market, and our industrial and manufacturing sales recruitment work concentrates there — the process and manufacturing base around Glasgow and Lanarkshire, the long-established manufacturing economy of Ayrshire served from Kilmarnock, and the industrial markets around Aberdeen and Dundee. It overlaps closely with engineering, energy and construction sales, and we place across all of them.
We hire from technical and field sales through to Sales Director level — area sales, key accounts, business development, technical and specification sales, and commercial leadership. Every brief is run by a senior consultant who scopes and shortlists it personally.
We build shortlists around how your business actually sells — your route to market, your buyer and your technical sale. Three or four candidates who fit, each with the SRUK Fit Score.
We work with industrial and manufacturing sales professionals across Scotland. Live vacancies are on our jobs board — send your CV and we'll be in touch.
Long-cycle industrial sales hires are expensive to get wrong. We build a brief around how your business actually sells, run a structured search against it, and score every candidate against six brief-specific dimensions in the SRUK CV.
