Sales Recruit UK is a specialist engineering sales recruitment agency working the length of Scotland from our base in the Central Belt. Engineering sales is its own discipline: the sales engineer who can read a drawing, scope a bespoke solution and hold a technical conversation with a buyer is a different hire from a volume salesperson, and the search has to reflect that. We recruit for manufacturers, fabricators, plant and equipment suppliers and engineering service businesses who sell into industry rather than to consumers.
Scotland’s engineering base is concentrated around a few centres, and we run searches into all of them — the manufacturing and fabrication cluster in and around Glasgow and Lanarkshire, the energy-led engineering market in Aberdeen, the technology and precision engineering around Dundee, and the long-standing manufacturing and engineering economy of Ayrshire served from Kilmarnock. The roles overlap heavily with industrial and manufacturing and construction sales, and we place across all three.
We hire from technical sales executives through to Sales Director level — sales engineers, applications and specification sales, key account managers, business development and commercial leadership. Every brief is run by a senior consultant; the consultant who scopes your brief is the one who shortlists it.
