Our client is a fast-growing international SaaS business with several global offices. Their software helps construction contractors gain complete visibility of project costs, purchase orders, invoices, profitability and reporting in real time.

As part of their UK growth plans, they are now looking to hire their first dedicated UK Account Executive.

For the right person, this is a genuine opportunity to become the future Head of Sales and build your own team as the business scales.

You won’t be expected to generate every opportunity yourself.

An established SDR function already generates approximately 70% of demonstrations, allowing you to focus on managing opportunities, running consultative sales processes and closing business.

The real upside comes from the remaining 30%.

Candidates who can create their own opportunities, build relationships and open doors will be heavily rewarded and well-positioned for future leadership opportunities.


The Role

Their market leading product helps construction contractors eliminate spreadsheets and gain real-time control over project finances.

The platform integrates seamlessly with accounting packages such as Sage and QuickBooks, providing a single source of truth for project costing, PO tracking, invoice management etc.

Their sweet spot is construction contractors generating between £2m and £20m in annual turnover.

For many prospects, the challenge isn’t replacing an existing software platform – it’s helping them move away from spreadsheets and manual processes altogether.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the full sales cycle from discovery through to close
  • Convert qualified opportunities generated by the SDR team
  • Deliver engaging software demonstrations
  • Build relationships with construction business owners, commercial directors and finance leaders
  • Generate additional opportunities through networking, referrals and self-generated activity
  • Help shape the UK go-to-market strategy
  • Play a key role in the growth of the UK operation

The Candidate

Our client will consider various backgrounds:

  • A SaaS AE dealing with Construction
  • A Business Development Manager selling any product into Tier 2 contractors
  • A SaaS AE dealing with any vertical
  • A High-Performing SDR looking for your first AE opportunity

Most importantly, you’ll know how to:

  • Run a consultative sales process
  • Build trust with decision makers
  • Understand commercial challenges
  • Demonstrate value rather than features
  • Consistently win new business

Experience selling software into construction, engineering, property, trades, field services or SME businesses would be advantageous but is not essential.
