The Client

Our client is a well-established and respected manufacturer supplying a premium range of products to the professional trade sector. With a reputation built on quality, innovation and service, their products are widely specified and distributed through a trusted network of trade resellers and distribution partners.

They are experiencing strong growth across the UK and Ireland and now require an ambitious field-based account manager to manage and develop relationships with their distribution network across Northern Ireland.


The Role

This is a field-based position with responsibility for managing and growing relationships with trade distribution accounts throughout Northern Ireland. You will inherit an established customer base with loyal accounts and significant potential for growth.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Build strong relationships with branch managers, buyers and key decision-makers

  • Support distribution partners with product knowledge, sales strategy and commercial insight

  • Develop and implement account plans to increase sales, revenue and market share

  • Provide training, support and guidance to help customers maximise their opportunities

  • Use CRM tools and structured planning to track activity, manage your pipeline and forecast sales

This is a consultative sales role focused on service, relationship-building and long-term partnership rather than transactional selling. Success will be measured by the quality of relationships you build, the growth you deliver for your customers and the impact you have on the region.


The Candidate

We are looking for an organised, service-led sales professional with strong relationship-building skills and a proven track record in field-based account management.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience managing trade, reseller or distribution accounts on behalf of a manufacturer or supplier

  • Be highly organised, structured and confident using CRM and territory planning tools

  • Understand how to build partnerships based on trust, service and commercial value

  • Be comfortable presenting solutions, delivering training and supporting customers’ business growth

  • Have strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and capitalise on new opportunities

  • Be ambitious, self-motivated and driven to progress their career

This role would suit someone currently in a territory or area sales role who is now looking to take the next step in their career with a respected manufacturer.
