A prestigious global manufacturing business with an envious engineering pedigree.This particular business unit is smaller in relative size but strong in terms of market share and overall reputation.They are a market leader within the manufacture of machined components for Aerospace and Automotive sectors.They spend significant sums on research and development each year to ensure that they stay at the forefront of their global market.
Ideally, you will be a hands-on engineering leader with a strong operations/production background from Aerospace or Automotive metals.Applications will be considered from those without Aero/Auto sector knowledge.
This role reports directly to the UK General Manager.You will have direct responsibility for Operations, Productions, Engineering and Logistics across their Northern site.You will be responsible for outlining the operational vision for the business for 2019 from a position of strength given their full order book.You will use your continuous improvement experience to drive operational excellence across the site with support from other senior managers within the business.Capacity is regularly reached on the shop floor so you must focus on the process to limit bottlenecks, improve flow, assure quality and embrace the collaborative culture that currently exists on site.
