This is a long-established business that has been successful for a number of years. It is widely regarded as the benchmark from which other regional branches within the group are measured. We’re now looking for someone who can provide new ideas and direction take it to the next level. This is a role for a successful manager with strong commercial acumen who is able to take an already successful business, streamline it and drive sales growth. Managerial experience within a manufacturing or distribution business, strong commercial skills and a full understanding of the operational challenges of warehousing and getting deliveries to customers.
You will be in charge of your own regional business, managing a team of 50 staff, that include operations, logistics and warehousing, sales, administration and purchasing. This is a standalone business unit with a turnover in excess of £20million that enjoys healthy pre-tax profits year after year.
You’ll have complete autonomy to run the business as you see fit, with the freedom to make changes and introduce and implement new ideas as well as complete control of the P&L.
